Center for the Creative Arts
The Center for the Creative Arts (CCArts) is a community-focused, regional arts organization. The Centers mission is to provide quality arts instruction, programming, recreational opportunities, and special services to children, adults, seniors and individuals with special needs in order to enrich their lives through the arts. CCArts holds quarterly classes in all of the visual and performing arts, offers a ten-week summer arts camp for children, and hosts art exhibitions, performances, and a variety of community events. CCArts serves audiences aged 4 and up; approximately 10,000 students per year at the Center and in the surrounding community. Classes for special needs students include art, dance and music therapy. CCArts has an after school Art Club for kids, ages 5-15, offered five days a week, which uses an art curriculum that includes all the disciplines. Each year, CCArts provides more than $40,000 in both merit and need-based scholarships for special needs classes and summer camp, and offers art education and home-schooling art classes, tailored to specific needs. Staff are trained in First Aid, CPR and FAAN (Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network). CCArts is able to accept children with severe food allergies into our programs.
