Patrik Kleemola is an outstanding Finnish guitarist we’ve been keeping our eye on for some time now. In recent years he’s been commissioning and performing some amazing new work for the guitar, as well as delving deep into some of the classical guitar’s most cherished repertoire. One need look no further than his YouTube videos of the works of Matteo Carcassi and Fernando Sor to appreciate the rare refinement and musicality in his playing, as he breathes life into what many might dismiss as mere studies. Patrik will bring his love of old and new music to his Delaware debut, for a night of captivating music like no other.

Works by Bach, Couperin, Weiss, Sor, Heiniö (world premiere tour), and Villa-Lobos.

Guest Opening Artist: Un/Strung Guitar Duo (Greg Hays & Jacob Lyerly)

A reception featuring MyHouse Cookies will follow the concert.
