Dewitt Godfrey Public Art Installation
Dewitt Godfrey is a large-scale sculptor who works in Hamilton, New York. His sculptures are inspired by natural geometries and systems such has honeycombs, seashells, and plant spores. Through the unique process of stacking steel forms, he creates structures of extraordinary complexity. Mr. Godfrey is designing and fabricating a sculpture specifically for the City of Lewes to be exhibited at the Canalfront Park. The installation will take place May 23 - May 24, 2023, and the exhibit will remain until approximately September 20, 2023. All are welcome to observe the installation and to visit the site throughout the summer. Imagine how the steel forms will change in different lighting conditions. Consider walking around the sculpture and see how the different backgrounds alter your experience. We look forward to seeing you.
