Pooh’s Christmas Miracle in the Hundred Acre Wood, A staged Radio Play
"Pooh's Christmas Miracle in the Hundred Acre Wood" is an original staged radio play by local playwright, Scott F. Mason. A few days before Christmas, a group of alumni gather at their college's radio station to voice the Pooh Christmas story as a charity event. The story (narrated by Kanga and Roo) details how Christopher Robin travels one Christmas, leaving Pooh and most of his friends to play alone in the famous woods. There, they meet Nina, a shy young girl, who lives alone with her penniless mother in a shack at the end of the forest. The girl tells them that St. Nick will not be visiting her home at Christmas. Pooh and his companions have no understanding of the holiday's meaning until they are enlightened by a legendary story from Eeyore. Pooh and Eeyore, joined by Owl, Rabbit, Tigger, and Piglet, all set out to bring Nina a Christmas miracle and embrace the joys of friendship. Meanwhile, as the voice actors present Pooh's newest adventure, we learn about their own trials, tribulations, and thoughts about the busy holiday season, from its stressful expectations, to the true meaning and spirit of Christmas. The show is suitable for ages 10 and up.
