A visually stunning and heartwarming holiday tradition featuring an engaging cast that represents the beautiful diversity of the state of Delaware and the City of Wilmington.

Experience the magic of The Wilmington Ballet's The Nutcracker at The Playhouse on Rodney Square! World-class, virtuosic Brazilian classical ballet artists Ingrid Silva and Luis Fernando Rego of The Dance Theatre of Harlem, return to enchant audiences as The Sugar Plum Fairy and The Nutcracker! Also Featuring Dylan Santos (formerly of The Dance Theatre of Harlem) of Disney's The Lion King on Broadway as the Sugar Plum Fairy Cavalier! 

Wilmington Ballet Academy of the Dance alum Kamani Abu, now of the ever vibrant Ailey II company, dances the roles of The Snow King and The Dew Drop Prince, joining Wilmington Ballet alum Alfred Lance Jr. as the mysterious Herr Drosselmeyer,  the ever VIBRANT Voloshsky Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, Peter Nicholls of the Secret Circus of Philadelphia, and Wilmington Ballet's Madison Richardson as Clara.

Running annually at The Playhouse on Rodney Square since 1967 with a professional LIVE orchestra, this year's production introduces the acclaimed Maestro Jose Luis Dominguez and the exquisite musicians of The Wilmington Ballet Chamber Orchestra, bringing Tchaikovsky's beloved holiday score to life!
