Book Discussion: "The First Ladies"
The First Ladies is a historical fiction novel based on the real-life friendship between First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, and early civil rights activist and educator, Mary McLeod Bethune. The book, told from alternating perspectives, explores themes of race, privilege and friendship. KCPL will have limited copies of the book available prior to the discussion.
