J. Blamoh Doe is a master drummer from Liberia, Africa.   He began his drumming at the age of 5.   He came to the U.S. in 1999 as part of a performance art group called Cry for Peace - after a 14-year civil war in his homeland.   Having studied at Kendeja - the Cultural Arts Center of Liberia he is considered a Master "KLAMAH" (drummer with many voices).   He performs and teaches African percussion from all 16 tribes of Liberia and is well versed in all Western African mask and dance traditions.

He has  performed around the  United States and Western Africa  for chiefs, kings & queens,  the United Nations, Allentown Opera House, UNICEF, African Festivals, the Apollo, Keswick, Painted Bride, and University of the Arts Theaters, D.C. Embassies, educational institutions and so much more.   He is an instructor of merit with Villanova University and taken "Best of Show" numerous times.   In addition to individual lessons, he has facilitated drum circles for students and business team building.      Additionally, J. Blamoh Doe  has an authentic African  dance and drum performance group for larger entertainment venues and events.

J. Blamoh Doe is one of the most respected, well-known and sought-after folk artists in the  African and musical educational community.   "The most vital moment in my life is to extend the journey beyond myself to pass on the knowledge of the art form (African drumming) to others."
