Kevin J. Cope is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a masters degree in music composition and a second masters degree in guitar performance. He has studied with composers  Patrick Long,  Jennifer Barker, and  Andrew Bleckner, and guitarists  Matthew Slotkin  and  Christiaan Taggart.  

Kevin composes  for any instrumentation and has completed commissions for many instrumentations including horn octet, guitar ensemble, saxophone and guitar, guitar duo, flute and guitar, solo clarinet, solo guitar,  woodwind quintet, and many more.  Kevin's guitar works are now also available for purchase from  StringsbyMail.com.  
 

Kevin performs for a wide range of events including parties, weddings, church services, and many more.  Kevin is also an experienced guitar teacher and has worked for the Bloomsburg University Preparatory Program, the Univerity of Delaware Community Music School, and the Darlington Arts Center (Garnet Valley, PA) as well as having taught many private guitar and composition students. Kevin has completed Suzuki guitar training (Book 1, 2, and 3) under MaryLou Roberts and William Kossler.


Also a member of two boards in the Philadelphia area, Orchestra 2001 and the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society, Kevin continues to work to enhance the influence the classical guitar and contemporary art music in the Delaware and Philadelphia area.
