A.T. Moffett
A.T. Moffett is a dance artist and educator based in WIlmington, DE. She has taught at the University of Delaware and Winona State University (MN.) In addition to university concerts and residencies, A.T.’s choreography has recently been presented at the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts, The Grand Opera House, DuPont Environmental Education Center, and Triskelion Arts NYC. She currently serves as Associate Artistic Director of Same Stories, Different Countries, an interdisciplinary arts-based research project and performance exploring historical and contemporary issues of racial oppression in the U.S and South Africa. Her research on dance and learning is published in The Journal of Dance Education. Titles include “Higher Order Thinking in the Dance Studio" and “Transitioning From School to Career: I’ve Got My MFA"¦ Now What?" She has supported the dance education community by leading professional development workshops in Dance-Integration, serving on the writing team to revise dance assessments for the DE Department of Education, and working as a reviewer for the Journal of Dance Education. Collaborative interests have led to co-founding TRANSForm Dance Collective http://transformdancecollective.blogspot.com/ and ongoing creative projects blending dance and other art forms. As a performer, A.T. danced professionally with Myra Bazell, Tania Isaac Dance, Stephan Koplowitz, Mary Anthony, Donald McKayle, and the Sokolow Dance Foundation.
