Benji Alexandre
Benji Alexandre is an independent screenwriter, filmmaker, and co-founder of MALCOBEN Pictures based in the Mid-Atlantic U.S. He earned his B.S. in Video and Film Production from Wilmington University and is currently completing his MFA in Film at Howard University.
A radical DIY artist with a no-excuses mindset, Benji believes filmmaking is something anyone can do—but becoming great takes discipline, vision, and relentless practice. His films and screenplays have placed in festivals, and his stories are currently being circulated in the film industry. He’s worked across all phases of production, with a focus on writing and directing, often blending genres and pushing cultural boundaries.
Benji’s work is deeply influenced by his background, history, and obsession with truth. He makes the films he wishes already existed—raw, imaginative, and unfiltered. A proud girl dad, unfortunate Portland Trail Blazers fan, self-taught mycologist, and certified history geek, he brings curiosity and conviction to every project.
