Brian Wild
Wild’s background spans film, theater, and visual art. He founded the Wilmington Filmmakers Society, produced community screenings and workshops, and has worked in theatrical carpentry and scenic painting at venues including The Grand Opera House, Candlelight Theatre, and The Wilmington Drama League. His early creative work also includes publishing comic strips and producing local-access programming, all of which continue to influence his hands-on, collaborative approach to filmmaking.
His films—such as Boxanne, The Boog, Amityville vs. The Galactic Samurai Schoolgirls, and For Delia With Love—have gained recognition for their unique tone, practical effects, and commitment to independent genre storytelling. His award-winning work has been featured in festivals and collaborations connected to Troma Entertainment, including working alongside Lloyd Kaufman and actors Will Keenan and Bill Weeden.
In 2026, Wild was awarded a Delaware Division of the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship in Media, supporting his continued work in independent film and community-based programming. Through Red Cup Films and his involvement with local creative spaces, he remains committed to building opportunities for filmmakers and fostering a thriving film culture in Wilmington and beyond.
