Cade W Gibson
Cade Gibson likes to think of herself as a self-taught artist. She always wanted to paint and took a course here and there, but did not become serious about her art until she retired from Delaware Technical and Community College in 2009. At that point, she enrolled in the Modern Maturity Center's art class taught by local artist, Hank Smallwood. Thanks to Hank’s encouragement and expertise, she progressed and was soon winning blue ribbons in the Delaware State Fair, displaying at the Dover Art League, and selling her works. She recently won third place in Holly Branch Pen Women’s juried show at the Dover Public Library.
Cade paints in watercolors, acrylics, pastels, and water-soluble oils.
If you want to make Cade happy, compare her style to Edward Hopper’s.
