I’m a registered nurse who during COVID took up fluid art and resin and enjoyed doing it so started giving to family and friends who encouraged me to start selling my art. I started to get incredible feedback so started to do art shows where now I have regular customers who keep coming back to me
I never wanted an online store because I felt it would turn a stress reliever into a source of stress—especially since every piece is one of a kind. Keeping up with that kind of inventory would be a nightmare! Someone suggested craft shows instead. Having lived in Delaware and attended the Brandywine Festival of the Arts for 30 years, I thought it would be amazing to return as a vendor.
I started small with high school shows, where I sold quite a bit and received incredible feedback. My first big step was the Brandywine Holiday Art Show. It was an amazing experience that led to several custom orders; that’s when I really started taking it seriously. I eventually decided to add sports logos to my work, and they’ve really taken off! Because everything is unique, I record all my painting sessions. This allows me to track the layering of my colors so I can achieve similar results for customers, even if the original piece they saw is already sold.
