Delona Seserman
Delona Seserman is a native of Romania who lives and works in Delaware. After spending twenty years in New Jersey where she established her company, Adris Group, in 1996 (a full-service interior design and art company), she moved to Delaware in 2011.
Delona received a diploma in Fine Arts and Interior Decoration from the Fine Art School in Romania in 1981, and a BS from the University of Bucharest, Romania in 1988. Coming to the USA in 1991, she continued her studies and received a diploma in Feng Shui studies from Sussex County College in New Jersey, in 2002, and a diploma in Energy Work with Houses from Conscious Design Program in New Jersey, in 2008. She also earned credits in Interior Design from the Rhodec International School of Interior Design, in 2009.
Since 2012, Delona has been an active docent and teaching artist at the Delaware Contemporary. She is a teaching artist working with DIAE since 2018 and teaching summer art camps at the Delaware Art Museum where she works as a museum educator. She has also been a member of the Gibby Center for the Arts in Middletown since 2011 and taught summer residencies there as well. In 2021 she started to teach arts and crafts at the Bear Day Center designing programs for adults and seniors with disabilities. Since 2022 Delona has been teaching Art and Library at St.Peter the Apostle School in New Castle.
Delona has had numerous solo and group exhibits in Romania, France, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Her last solo shows were in 2019 in Cannes, France, and in Deva, Romania. In 2013 Delona Seserman received a certificate of achievement for participating in the 2013 Office of Women's Health art contest, in Dover. She is happy to take on commission work and always ready to paint murals.
Teaching art is Delona's passion and she is fortunate to have been teaching in the USA as well as in Europe, giving her a unique background and a complex understanding of diversity, culture, and inclusivity.
Delona is always open to bringing her creativity and teaching skills to a variety of age groups from 4 - 100 years old, She also continues to offer interior design services and commissioned art to her established clientele in New Jersey as well as working on new projects in Delaware and Pennsylvania.
Delona is trained in Creative Aging and promotes the relationship between creative expression and healthy aging.
