Elissa Davis is a figurative painter in Wilmington, Delaware and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Delaware for Figure Painting.
In 2024, Elissa was awarded the Opportunity Grant for portraiture from the Delaware Division of the Arts.
Beginning in February of 2026, Elissa began working on a painting series titled Modern Love, exploring qualities such as gentleness, kindness, joy and determination.
Modern Love is a series of paintings exploring how certain qualities can be embodied and expressed through our intentions and actions in modern times.
The six qualities are gentleness, gratitude, determination, kindness, joyful and intentional.
Each quality is painted as a figure and presented within a diverse cultural, gendered, racial, multigenerational and abled lens of representation.
Modern Love will debut to the public in 3 phases.

Phase II-2027
Phase III-2028
Modern Love will be available for acquisition as a complete collection of eighteen paintings in mid-2028.
