Artist Roster

Florence Chen is a contemporary mixed-media artist based in Hockessin, Delaware. Working primarily with paper quilling and mixed media, she constructs intricate, layered works that begin with familiar subjects and reward slow, sustained looking. Her practice explores the gap between a first glance and what reveals itself when you stay longer: complexity hiding inside the ordinary. Chen's work is currently on view in a solo showing at ArtSource@ Gallery at The Delaware Contemporary (June–August 2026).

Florence Chen is submitting two works to the Delaware 250 Open Call: Rat Race (2026, paper, PLA, mixed media, 21×9 in.) and The Breakfast Club (2026, paper, PLA, mixed media, 21×9 in.). Both works use everyday subjects to examine systems, conformity, and the quiet dynamics of belonging. They are part of a larger body of work currently on view at ArtSource@ Gallery at The Delaware Contemporary.
