Genevieve Hahn, coloratura/lyric soprano, enjoys a diverse vocal life. Her last adventure was to Graz, Austria where she was accepted into the American Institute of Musical Studies (AIMS). There, she performed in various concerts throughout the Styrian province and had intensive studies in voice. Her opera roles have been The Princess and The Fire in L’enfant et les sortilèges at Spotlight on Opera, Alcina in La liberazione di Ruggiero, Monica in Last Days, and Nausicaa Penelope and the Geese (which also performed in Athens and Corfu) for the UD Lyric Theatre. In the operetta genre, she has appeared as Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance and Casilda in The Gondolierswith Rose Valley Chorus and Orchestra, and Rose Maybud in Ruddigore and Lady Rosie Pippin in The Emerald Isle with The Ardensingers. Genna is also an ardent fan of musical theater. Besides performing as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at Delaware Children’s Theater, she has used her vast MT repertoire in cabarets and recitals.


Genevieve is also a frequent guest artist at churches in the tri-state area, where she twice has been employed as an Artist-in-Residence. During this time, she has performed a number of oratorio solos as well, including Saint-Saens’ Christmas Oratorio, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ The First Nowell. Lastly, she has also had top choral experiences such as traveling to Croatia, England, and Wales with the Delaware Choral Scholars, as well as being accepted into the Delaware Cambridge Choral Exchange where she studied for two weeks with the Jesus College Chapel Choir.



Genevieve graduated summa cum laude from the University of Delaware with a Master’s degree in Flute Performance and Vocal Performance, where she studied flute with Professor Eileen Grycky and voice with Dr. Isai Jess Munoz. She is presently studying voice with Jessica Beebe. During this time at UD, Genna won the Greater Philadelphia NATS Advanced College Musical Theater Treble Competition and Adult/College Musical Theater Competition, and the Newark Symphony Orchestra Youth Concerto Competition College Division, where she performed three operatic arias with the orchestra. She was a finalist in the Eastern Region NATS Adult Musical Theatre Treble Competition and the UD Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, and took 2nd place in the GPNATS Advanced College/Independent Studio Classical Treble Voice Competition. She has also performed in master classes with Stephen Powell, Edrie Means Weekly, Forrest McClendon, and Katherine Jolly.



Genevieve also pursues performing in concerts that benefit different charitable causes, such as the Jonathan Beech Memorial Concert (donates funds to pediatric cancer foundations) and the Annual Benefit Concert to Combat Human Trafficking. She also enjoys learning foreign languages and has a proficient knowledge of Italian, German, French, Russian, and The Muppets.
