Jack Thomas Knight
Jack Knight had a dual career both in the arts and the railroad industry. He was an adjunct instructor in art with Empire State College and Niagara County Community College in NY as well as Rutgers-Camden Campus, Burlington, Camden and Gloucester County Colleges in South Jersey. Knight worked 20 years with Conrail's Engineering Department and the past 12 years with Amtrak retiring in 2009 from the Procurement Dept at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. He relocated to southern Delaware in 2010 where he has a residence and studio.
Knight has been working in this direction since 1972. Previous paintings have been on shaped canvas's as well as rectangular formats. He explores various ways of presenting the "free form" marble-like surface. He's concerned with color, form, shape and their relationships.
