Joe Barbella attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art. He usually works with oil paintings on canvas. Artworks include portraits, still-lives, landscapes in a variety of styles including representational and modern cubism. His artwork has been presented in a number of exhibitions in Philadelphia including The University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia’s City Hall, Perelman Center and The Barnes Foundation as well as in southern Delaware including Rehoboth’s City Hall, Rehoboth Art League and Rehoboth Beach Writers Guild. In addition to being a visual artist, Joe is also a musician and songwriter who has produced several Cd’s. He has relocated to Lewes DE and now concentrates full-time on his paintings in his studio at home as well as musical performances in local venues such as The Listening Booth, Lefty’s and Bethany Blues.
