Artist Roster

Born in 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland, Leo Kahl was exposed to creativity and inventiveness in general at an early age. Fascinated by the artistic creations of several older cousins, he was inspired to pursue an education in art at the Maryland Institute, College of Art. He would make use of visualization, design and technical skills for the next four decades envisioning and marketing a myriad of commercial and industrial products for many large and small companies. 

Once his family had grown, he found time to return to his passion for painting. Working in acrylics, oil and watercolors, creating countless figurative works depicting quiet moments of his family and friends.

After moving to the Delaware coast in 2020, he devoted his full attention to making art. The light and wildlife of the coastal regions of Maryland and Delaware were a constant source of inspiration. Leo also enthusiastically enjoys sharing his knowledge and passion for painting with others via art workshops at the Rehoboth Art League and other regional art leagues.
