Inspired by nature, dimensional paper artist Linda Majewski creates flowers and plants from a variety of paper types. She designs each element, assembling them all by hand. Linda also enjoys paper quilling and often uses quilled elements in her mixed-media pieces.

Linda is the owner of Paper Greenhouse, exhibiting and selling her work at local galleries. She is available to create exclusive pieces for individuals and special events. Linda especially enjoys sharing her love of creativity as the owner/instructor of Marvelous Makers and is available to teach single-session classes as well as multi-week courses in a wide variety of media. All programs can be taught in-person and many are also available for online instruction. Classes are scheduled on a rolling basis.

Prior to becoming a full-time teaching artist, Linda worked in the fields of volunteerism, disability inclusion, and the arts. She has been an instructor in a range of topics including independent living skills, volunteer program management, interpersonal communication, and even taught dog obedience classes for several years. Linda is a former Executive Director of the Newark Arts Alliance and currently volunteers as the Vice-President for Jester Artspace and the Treasurer for First State Crafters.

Linda resides in the greater Newark DE area with her mom, husband, daughter, two speedy Whippets, and three kitties who are each convinced they run the place.

Creative Aging

Linda has successfully presented five Creative Aging programs at libraries in all three Delaware counties. Focusing on the creative uses of cardstock along with other media, she offers courses in paper botanicals as well as in traditional and modern paper quilling. Linda is well-versed in the particulars of the Creative Aging program and experienced in completing the forms needed to make a successful application for funding.

All programs are skills-based and sequential, beginning with foundational practice and progressing towards more complex techniques and designs. Using a project-based approach allows participants to see progress throughout their creative journey. Lessons include exploring sources of inspiration; instruction in the mechanics of design when working with paper; discussion about and practice in giving and receiving constructive feedback; learning about opportunities for sharing their art in the community; and most of all, the chance to meet new people and share the joy of creating together.

Each program progresses towards all participants completing a final, self-designed project. Final projects are on view during a week-long exhibition, culminating with a celebratory artist reception for participants, friends, and family.

Linda welcomes the opportunity to discuss the Creative Aging initiative with organizations interested in hosting a program. She is currently scheduling new classes for 2025.
