Lori Citro
Lori Citro is a singer/songwriter/pianist. She has an extensive musical theater background,
accompanying approximately 3-5 musicals a year and has played for many area theaters, including New Candlelight, Wilmington Drama League and Everett Theater as well as local schools - Christiana High School, St.Edmond's Academy, Sanford and Delaware Military Academy.
Her original compositions have received airplay on WSTW's Hometown Heroes, 'Nette Radio (awebsite out of Dallas), Mike's Cafe out of Michigan, FameGames and on a webcast for Pacific Songwriting Contest out of Australia. Her original songs have been featured on the first singer/songwriter CD from 4W5called "Live at 4W5," Hometown Heroes Christmas CD (twice), Mike's Cafe compilation CD and she has performed annually on Tim Qualls Show. Lori has toured the East Coast playing keyboards for "Milow the Girl",a band out of Switzerland.
She has received five Ascap Plus awards for songwriting through ASCAP based on performance royalties for solo performances at many venues from NYC to North Carolina, including The 6, Ladybug Festival, Downtown Newark Festivals, Brandywine Festival of the Arts, Mojo 13, Mojo Main, Coffeeworks, Dewey Beach Music Conference, Best of Delaware Party at Chase Riverfront, World Cafe at the Queen and Wilmington Bluerocks to name a few.
She is on Reverbnation and a member of GoGirls Music, Philadelphia Area Songwriters Alliance, Baltimore Songwriters Association, and February Album Writing Month.org as well as ASCAP. She recently was awarded a grant to attend ASCAP Expo in Los Angeles through Delaware Division of the Arts and a teaching grant from MTNA.
Lori teaches private piano at Sanford School during the day and piano and voice at Music & Arts in Newark where she resides with her three children Julie, Kelsey and Ethan.
