RAmos ART (Manuel Ivan Ramos) is a Delaware based Visual artist whose work centers on powerful oil portraiture and culturally driven storytelling. Drawing inspiration from hip-hop, sports, spirituality, and everyday human emotion, Ramos creates pieces that honor legacy, resilience, and identity. His paintings often explore the intersection of personal history and collective memory, transforming familiar faces and moments into timeless visual narratives.

Ramos has exhibited at the Delaware Art Museum, Chris White Gallery, Rodney Pratt Gallery, Newark Art Alliance, and numerous regional exhibitions, and has been a featured artist at Art Battle events. Through both fine art and community-based projects, RAmos ART continues to use art as a form of therapy, connection, and cultural preservation, bridging generations and inspiring audiences to see themselves reflected in the work.

Statement from the artist:

"Art found me when I least expected it. I always had a knack for drawing, dabbled in watercolor back in high school, but never saw it as my path. That changed around the pandemic, when my wife gave me paint to pass the time. What started as a way to fill quiet hours quickly became something that lit me up, especially when my daughters, Camille and Jurnee, beamed at what I was creating.

I took my first tentative steps into the art world after meeting Rodney Pratt, a great peet of mine who pointed me toward local art loops. I then met Amy Nichman, who generously offered guidance and mentorship. I faced my share of rejection but with Amy’s encouragement, I kept on and started to join galleries and art events. I have competed at Art Battle at other fairs and events where I have met great artists community organizers like Kim now running Art Battle Philadelphia and Irene who have become collaborators and amazing friends.

From those relationships, I built a network of incredible artists who helped me find my footing. I left behind a 20 year career at AT&T to pursue art full-time. It’s been tough, but it’s what my soul needed. I’ve showcased my work from local Delaware exhibitions to New York events. I’ve painted murals, including one currently at Uncle John’s BBQ, and have had the honor of participating in events like the Hip Hop Cultural Summit.

I didn’t plan to be here, but I’m grateful I am. With the support of family, friends like André from ColorOfLife, and the art community, I’ve found a calling. I’m here to keep growing and to share that journey with you through every piece I create."
