Kris & Holly began in 2018 when Michael Sheinbaum, a professional, real-bearded Santa, decided he wanted to entertain children throughout the year. So he interviewed Renate McIntosh, who had been performing in Delaware as a clown and master balloon twister for thirty years. Between their education backgrounds, love of creativity, and strong talents, the two recognized a unique dynamic. They soon decided to become both entertainment and life partners, married 18 months after their first meeting.
Together, Kris & Holly have been entertaining and educating children, along with their parents, throughout Delmarva and the Delaware Valley. Their Mother Goose, I Love to Read, and other programs are beloved throughout the region’s libraries and day cares. As they pivot toward musical, inventive STEM shows, they look forward to reaching an even greater audience across Delaware.
In 2023, Kris & Holly published their first collection of original Christmas tales and authentic letters from children to Santa, aided by Vinnytsian artist Elena Rogers to raise money for Ukraine. Tales from Kris & Holly, Vol. 1 has been well received, and the two look forward to publishing more books in the future.
Kris & Holly are also accomplished magicians, clowns and balloon artists.
