Siobhan Duggan
Siobhan began taking art classes at the age of five from a neighbor, and from that point she never stopped making things. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from State University of New York at Purchase and a Masters of Art in Teaching from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Siobhan taught in public and private schools in New York for 10 years. Siobhan holds art teaching certificates with the State of Delaware and State of New York and currently teaches middle school art in the Indian River School District. Siobhan is the recipient of an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Delaware Division of Arts in the category Emerging Artist: Works on Paper! Siobhan's current work is Plein Air painting with pastels which merge her two favorite worlds of nature and art. Siobhan is also a 2017 grant recipient for her project "Drawing in Plein Sight" supported in part, by the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. Siobhan's work has won numerous awards and is for sale locally at the Lewes Historical Society's museum shops and she welcomes commissions. "‹
