Tony McKee
Tony McKee is a fledgling self-taught artist residing on the Indian River Bay near Millsboro, Delaware, with his wife Cheryl. Tony recently retired from his forty-year career as a mechanical engineer, and now fulfills his love of watercolor painting to capture all that's beautiful in our coastal Delmarva region.
While an avid artist during his high school years, Tony set aside his artistic endeavors to pursue a career in engineering, while clinging to his creative side first as a mechanical draftsman and later in concept development utilizing 3D computer-aided design tools combined with endless hand-sketches of his product designs.
Now, he combines ink and watercolor to convey the vibrancy of Delmarva coastal scenery, regional wildlife, and historic landmarks.
Tony has presented his work at a variety of regional venues, including the Delaware State Fair Grounds, Dover Days, the Bridgeville Historical Society, Angola by the Bay, and the Ocean City Convention Center. He has also completed commissioned works with a focus on local homes and buildings with historical significance.
