Artist Tricia Whitmore was born in Washington DC and raised in Northern Virginia but now resides in Georgetown, DE. Many weekend excursions along the Delmarva coast created a deep appreciation and love for the beauty and Serenity found in nature.

The joy of being outdoors ignites wonder and results in many printed photographs used as reference guides for sketching and painting. The Artist utilizes these to develop a faint graphite sketch to follow throughout the painting process. For a soft appearance with little texture watercolor paint and 140lb paper are used for the desired result. The Artist prefers acrylic on canvas for subjects with sharp lines, bold colors and texture.

The greatest creative influence in capturing passion in painting nature was the opportunity to study with Delmarva artists Jane Mullenhouser and Willie Crockett. Their style and techniques made a lasting impression and conveyed their love of nature.The Artist Hopes that a little of that inspiration and love of nature is passed on from their teaching and wonderful insights.

Original Lighthouses, Landscapes&Seascapes painted by the Artist Tricia Whitmore have been showcased and sold at events through the Smyrna Opera House, Cape-May Lewes Ferry Terminal, Children's Beach House. Annual Outdoor Artisan Events include ArtX Festival Ocean City,Maryland, Brandywine Festival of Arts Wilmington,Delaware, Blackbird creek fall festival Townsend,Delaware & Artumn Festival, Millsboro,Delaware.

Artist Tricia Whitmore is a greatful member of art communities throughout Delaware maintaining membership with The Biggs American Art Museum, Delaware by Hand Artists of Dover, Delaware along with the Millsboro Art league of Millsboro Delaware and the Milton Arts Guild of Milton, Delaware

The Artist paints from the studio of her home that backs up to a peaceful farm in rural Delaware. Whether its a soft watercolor seascape or a dramatic acrylic mountain scean that is your favorite artwork, the Artist aspires to inspire appreciation for the beauty, Serenity and wonders that nature offers
