Vanesa Simon
Vanesa Simon is an entrepreneur, visual artist, and dedicated community organizer. In 2017, she piloted the program “Healing Through the Arts” and later innovated a fiscal partnership with the Delaware Art Museum through her company, Mariposa Arts.
Through her varied certifications she explores and shares meditative art processes. She is a Certified Zentangle Instructor and holds a Trauma-Informed Artist certification & training for instructing Adults as Beginners. Additionally, she has been trained in Creative Aging facilitation practices and is a Certified Facilitator for Open Studio Project method.
As an artist, Vanesa’s work has reached an international audience. She has participated in exhibitions across Argentina, Barcelona, and New York City as part of an artist collective from Argentina. Her art has also been displayed in local exhibitions in Delaware.
In 2024 she was selected as a Global South Arts & Health Envoy and has had the great honor of being nominated by President Joe Biden to the National Council on the Arts.

Creative Aging
Vanesa is available for creative aging workshops instructing in the Zentangle method. It is an easy to learn way to play with patterns and into mindfulness.Â
This method successfully turns off the "thinking part of our brain" and is a step-by-step way of learning to draw a wide variety of patterns using beautiful supplies.
