Jester Artspace is highlighting early-career and experienced artists with its open call for submissions for its 2025 Solo Exhibition series. “We’re thrilled to offer a platform for emerging and established artists alike,” says Susan Benarcik, Board Member at Jester Artspace.
Artists working in any medium are encouraged to submit proposals showcasing a cohesive body of work in a professional gallery setting. A volunteer-run community art space, Jester’s exhibition series focuses on introducing local artist works to the Brandywine Valley region.
“This open call is a chance for artists to take center stage and share meaningful work with our community,” said Benarcik. Open to both Jester Artspace members and non-members—with priority for artists who have not recently exhibited—this opportunity is designed to uplift fresh voices. Previously exhibited work at Jester is not eligible.

About Jester Artspace
Jester Artspace is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that repurposes the historic Jester Farmhouse—a rare, early 19th-century stone-and-frame farmhouse—into a vibrant arts center serving artists of all backgrounds. The organization entered a renovation partnership with New Castle County in 2015 and now offers gallery, workshop, and community programming amid 30 acres of original farmland.
Guided by a mission to “engage, inspire, and connect our community through the arts” and a vision of being “an essential local resource,” Jester Artspace fosters creativity in Brandywine Hundred and beyond. The site, supported in part by grants from the Delaware Division of the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts, exemplifies adaptive reuse—preserving layered regional history while building artistic community.
