This exhibition invites artists to explore the spirit of winter — its landscapes, atmospheres, and emotional resonance. Whether through icy stillness, quiet streets, wild blizzards, candlelit windows, or frost-covered dreams, “Winterscapes” reflects the feeling of the season — serene, stark, nostalgic, or even quietly joyful.
Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly — through natural or imagined winter environments, seasonal symbols, or personal reflections on the colder months. Work can include human figures, traces of human presence, or be purely focused on the environment itself. The emphasis is on evoking the essence of winter — whether that’s through solitude, resilience, warmth, isolation, or wonder.
Creative Guidelines:
– Work must be rooted in a winter theme or setting (literal or abstract — cold weather, winter light, snow, storms, winter flora/fauna, etc.)
– Human elements are optional — they may be central, subtle (e.g., footprints, windows, shadows), or absent altogether.
– Artists are encouraged to consider emotion and atmosphere — how does winter feel? What stories live in the landscape?
