Description

The Delaware Art Museum seeks an emerging museum professional for the new position of Art Bridges Fellow, a three-year, full-time position in the Art and Learning Department. The position is designed to offer emerging museum professionals the opportunity to work closely with registrars, curators, preparators, educators, and interpretation staff for an expansive understanding of the collections, exhibition, and education activities within a museum. The successful candidate will perform duties associated with the Museum’s permanent collection, special exhibitions, and interpretive programming including registration, curatorial support, curriculum development, and tour management, among other tasks. The Fellows Program is dedicated to creating diverse museum leadership with a national group of emerging arts professionals and mentors. With its partner museums, the foundation will establish deep career pathways for historically underrepresented groups in the arts. The Fellow will attend convenings in Bentonville, Arkansas each year, including a month-long residency and orientation from September 9 – October 4, 2024. Additional funding for research travel and participation in museum industry conferences will be provided.
