Let's encourage today's students to learn more about Delaware's Public Transit System.
DART First State invites you to partner with us by having your students participate in our Annual Transit Theme Poster Contest.
2025 THEME: "Ride Together, Community Starts with DART". With DART's dedication to connecting communities and enhancing lives across Delaware. DART encourages students to explore how public transportation supports and strengthens our neighborhoods. Through their artwork, students can capture the ways DART brings people together, opens doors to new destinations, and plays a vital role in building a brighter, more connected future for everyone in Delaware.
ELIGIBILITY: Children in Grades 6 through 12.
SCHOOL/ORGANIZATION ROLE: Conduct the poster contest and forward student posters to DART First State by mail for judging. Use the poster theme/contest in your curriculum and classroom work if applicable.
THE POSTER: The poster can be created using bold-colored pencils, crayons, paints, markers, and/or digital art. It must be 8.5” x 11” or 11” x 17” in size. The DART logo must appear on the artwork, along with the text “COMMUNITY STARTS WITH DART!” All lettering must be legible, and words must be spelled correctly, even when used as a design element. On the back side of the poster, please include the student's name, address, age, grade level, school/organization name and address, teacher/advisor name, and contact information.
DEADLINE: Please postmark no later than March 24, 2025.
JUDGING & AWARDS: DART will judge the entries for originality, theme presentation, and artistic quality. A First Place Winner will be chosen from each grade, and from those winners, a Grand Prize Winner will be selected. The Grand Prize Winner will have their poster displayed on all DART buses. All winners will receive an award certificate and gifts from DART and its business partners, and all the winning posters will be displayed on DART’s website, DartFirstState.com. All artwork becomes the property of DART and may be used in future advertising or promotional materials with appropriate credit to the artist.
