Disney’s Freaky Friday
Ages: Teens and Adults ages 13-99 (One young male role '“Fletcher” open to boys 10+)
About the Show: Based on the beloved Mary Rodgers novel and two hit Disney films, Freaky Friday tells the story of a mother and daughter who magically swap bodies for 24 chaotic hours. By spending a day in each other’s shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another’s struggles, learn self-acceptance, and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter.
Performance Dates:
Fridays, February 6 & 13 at 7:30pm
Saturdays, February 7 & 14 at 7:30pm
Sundays, February 8 & 15 at 2pm
Audition Dates:
You may arrive at any time between the start and end time. Attendance throughout the duration of the audition is not needed. Check in at the Gibby Center for the Arts (to the left of the main theatre entrance.)
Thursday, November 13 I 6:30-9:30pm
OR
Sunday, November 16 I 4-8pm
Call Backs (if needed) will take place on Tuesday, November 18 I 6-9pm
Rehearsals:
Thursday, 11/20 Read Through and Parent Meeting at 6:30pm
Tuesday and Thursdays from 6:30pm to 9:30pm
Sundays from 5pm to 9pm
Cast Members may not be needed at all rehearsals. A schedule will be provided after casting.
Important Information:
- Please complete the online audition form before arrival. Audition Form
- In person auditions are preferred; however, you can submit a video audition by 4pm on Sunday, November 16. Email auditions@TheEverett.org. Be sure to include your name, a brief intro, and your audition video.
- No conflicts during tech rehearsals. 2/1 to 2/5 rehearsals are mandatory
- As a volunteer-based nonprofit organization, The Everett depends on the support of our performers' friends and family in positions such as box office, ticket taker, concessions, and ushers. As a thank you for assisting in these key roles, volunteers are able to enjoy the show for free.
- All performers are required to attend set strike immediately following the last performance.
Audition:
What to bring? Prepare TWO songs. Prepare 16-32 bars (a verse and a chorus) of any song from the show. Also prepare 16-32 bars of any musical theater song that best showcases your voice. Please bring a pre-recorded instrumental track. A Bluetooth speaker will be provided. There will also be a brief choreography audition immediately following your singing audition so be ready to dance!
