The first and most famous story of The Chronicles of Narnia has become a musical presentation of this unique, enchanted world filled with creatures and spirits of myth and fable, both good and evil, demonic and transcendent. The principal inhabitants, however, are the intelligent talking animals ruled by the majestic King Aslan, the great lion of Narnia. Though Aslan is often absent from the land (so that his very existence is doubted by some), he returns when the need for him is greatest. And entering Narnia at a moment of high adventure are some children — plucked from our world in unexpected ways to help Narnia and to learn from their Narnia odyssey lessons of courage, unselfishness, and wisdom that will help them grow. Narnia wants to sing, and from the excitement of the opening song, “Aslan’s on the Move”, to the joy of “Narnia” (You Can’t Imagine)”, your spirits will soar with all those in Narnia.
Performance Dates:
- December 4, 5, 11, 12 at 7:30pm
- December 6 & 13 at 2pm
- School show performance Wednesday, December 9 at 9am
Audition Dates:
You may arrive at any time between the start and end time. Attendance throughout the duration of the audition is not needed. Check-In at The Gibby next door to the theatre at 51 W. Main Street, Middletown, Delaware.
- Sunday, August 9 I 2pm to 5pm
- Wednesday, August 12 I 6:30pm to 9pm
- Call Backs if needed (by invitation only) Sunday, August 16 I 1pm-3pm
Rehearsals:
- Read Through: Thursday, August 27 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm
- Tuesdays and Thursdays Evenings
- Saturdays afternoons or early evening (not earlier than 1pm)
Cast Members may not be needed at all rehearsals. A schedule will be finalized once casting and conflicts are received. Additional rehearsals may be needed. To be determined.
Important Information:
- Please complete the online audition form before arrival. Audition Form
- In-person auditions are preferred; however, if you cannot audition in-person, you may submit a video audition. Please include your name, age, the role you’re auditioning for, and the song you will be performing and email your audition BEFORE 9PM ON AUGUST 12 to auditions@theeverett.org..
- No conflicts during tech rehearsals. 11/28 to 12/3 rehearsals are mandatory.
- As a volunteer-based nonprofit organization, The Everett depends on the support of our performers' friends and family in positions such as box office, ticket taker, concessions, and ushers. As a thank you for assisting in these key roles, volunteers are able to enjoy the show for free.
- All performers are required to attend set strike immediately following the last performance.
Audition:
- Prepare 16 to 32 measures of a song in the style of the show. Be sure to “act the song” to the best of your ability. We will have a bluetooth speaker available so you can connect to your music.
- Please also let us know if you have any special talents (cartwheels, walkovers, splits, etc.)

SUSAN PEVENSIE: Peter’s Sister, approx 12 - 14
EDMUND PEVENSIE: their younger brother, approx 10-12
LUCY PEVENSIE: their younger sister, approx 9 - 11
PROFESSOR DIGORY KIRKE: the children’s uncle
MRS. MACREADY: housekeeper at Marbleton Manor
MR & MRS BEAVER: “Cockney” beavers
DWARF: one of the White Witch’s minions
FENRIS ULF: head of the White Witch’s Secret Police
TUMNUS: a faun
FATHER CHRISTMAS: Santa Claus
WHITE STAG: harbinger of luck/portent of change in Narnia
