CAMP Rehoboth is excited to announce that the Call for Artists is open for Grin and Bear It, an upcoming art exhibition held in conjunction with Rehoboth Beach Bear Weekend.
In gay male culture, a bear is a term for a man who is muscular, bearded, and/or has a lot of body or facial hair. Bears often project an image of rugged masculinity.
Expanded Inclusivity:
This year’s exhibition has been expanded to embrace the full spectrum of talent within the bear community. As in previous years, artists can submit bear-themed art for consideration. Additionally, we are now accepting works by artists who identify as members of the bear community, regardless of the theme.
Submission Guidelines:
Bear-Themed Art: If you have created bear-themed artwork, please click the link for more information and to submit your pieces for consideration.
Bear Community Artists: If you identify as a member of the bear community, you are welcome to to complete this form to submit your artwork on any theme.
Artists may enter up to three works for consideration. A panel of community members will select the pieces for exhibition. We welcome all art forms, including painting, drawing, sculpture, 3D art, ceramics, photography, videography, and more!
To be considered, the Submission and Registration form must be completed by August 25, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.
Key Dates:
Call for Artists Closes: August 25, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
Notification of Acceptance: August 29, 2024
Artwork Drop-off: September 10, 11, and 12, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Exhibition Dates: September 14 to October 7, 2024
Opening Reception: September 14, 2024, from 3 to 5 p.m.
