PAWS for Literacy
Bring your child to the library to read aloud for 10 minutes to a friendly therapy dog provided by PAWS for People. Studies have shown that reading aloud to animals can actually help children improve reading skills. This is a great opportunity for beginner, reluctant and even beginning English learners to practice in a non-judgmental atmosphere. Teens and adults are welcome to read too!
