"Sea Change": Works by Stephen Estrada
Our connection to the sea goes back beyond time. Its moods and rhythms affect our daily lives. For me the ocean has always been a source of solace, mystery and adventure. For many years I have volunteered rebuilding in communities affected by hurricanes that have come ashore in Florida, New Orleans and Puerto Rico. I have intimate knowledge of the ocean’s beauty and its awesome power.
These paintings reflect a lifetime of experiences in and near the sea; sometimes tumultuous, sometimes indescribably tranquil. I hope they convey my sense of awe in the presence of this essential element.
