Friends & Neighbors Premiere
When Wilmington filmmaker Benjamin Wagner was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress syndrome, he saw the impact of trauma and adverse stress all around him.
Inspired by Fred Rogers, the subject of his 2012 PBS documentary Mister Rogers & Me, he decided to "look for the helpers” healing our anxious and uncertain communities.
Friends & Neighbors features Wilmington neighbors Senator Sarah McBride and WRK Group CEO Logan Herring, plus local experts Center for Change at Kennett Square Director Winden Rowe, Certified School Counselor Lauren Scott, and Somatic Psychotherapist Matthew Tousignant, who by sharing their stories, make space for others to do the same, and provide roadmaps toward healthier lives and communities.
A Q&A with the filmmaker and cast members will follow the 73-minute film.
