Indigenous Foodways: Yaupon Tea
Yaupon Holly is the only plant native to North America that produces caffeine, but few people are familiar with it. Be a part of the Yaupon resurgence! Learn about the Yaupon plant, its history and revitalization in Native American communities, and try different Yaupon tea varieties with Crystal Stokes of Project CommuniTea. Also channel your inner artist by making teacups to enjoy future brews. This program is a partnership between Project CommuniTea, The Rehoboth Art League, and Native Roots Farm Foundation (NRFF). Although this class is free, registration is required.
