"Pigment and Strand": Works by Charlese Phillips
This is an experience of paint and fiber and how the combination of both can give life to each artwork, filling it with vibrancy and texture. As an artist, I have always found it interesting to experiment with different materials to see how they will interact with one another. Each color palette was chosen to give the viewer a different experience with each piece, filled with subtle details to highlight each material and emphasize how the materials flow together. Connecting paint and fiber in my art allows me to explore many sides of me from my expressiveness to my meticulous, organizational nature. The possibilities of what can be created with these mediums are vast and is the foundation of what keeps me wanting to discover more.
