Cosmic Guilt & Lester's Pearl
Lester’s Pearl:
Rock & Roll is dish best served with thundering guitar and a drum/bass backbeat that shakes the room. Lester’s Pearl serves that up and more with soul and blistering improvisations. Stylistically, the band has no true bounds borrowing from 60/70s era rock, jazz, and outlaw country…by the end of the evening, there is very little untouched sonic landscape.
In the spring of 2023 the band released an extended digital single titled “A Love That’s Whole” — a near 7 minute musical journey— inspired by a trip starting at the foothills of the Appalachian mountains and ending in near disaster! The band’s debut at the Queen (with Brian LaPann Trio) in March 2023 entertained a near sell out crowd.
Cosmic Guilt:
Cosmic Guilt is an extended family of musicians from Philadelphia whose music exists in the spaces between familiar and frontier – lush folk orchestrations with Spaghetti Western and British influence – think Lee Hazelwood meets Fairport Convention.
In May 2022, The Guilt released their first, self-titled album, named in the top 25 of 2022 by WXPN. The band has shared stages with The Walkmen, White Denim, Father John Misty, Sharon Von Etten, Charlie Crocket, and Jenny Lewis.
“Queen of the Dream”, a folky electric jangler, is The Guilt’s latest single to promote their new record, “Palace of Depression”, set to be released in December 2023.
No one is doing it like Cosmic Guilt. Anywhere. Wrap yourself in it and let it give your zeal – guilt is for everyone.
