Vibe-A-Delphia Jazz Trio: From the Silver Screen to the Band Stand
In honor of Jazz Appreciation Month, jazz trio Vibe-A-Delphia will perform a midday program titled, "From the Silver Screen to the Band Stand," which celebrates how Henry Mancini and his contemporaries wrote movie music that jazz players love. In addition to Mancini, the program will include the film music of Johnny Mandel, Bronislau Kaper, and Frank Churchill, including songs like "Days of Wine and Roses," "Emily," and "Someday My Prince Will Come."
Vibe-A-Delphia is comprised of musicians Harvey Price (vibes), Bill Shilling (organ), and Tom Palmer (drums).
This performance is free and open to the public.
