Karen Johnson is known as a colorful and virtuosic stylist, both of solo and chamber music repertoire. She has served as principal flutist of the Washington Bach Consort and Co-Principal of the Chesapeake Orchestra. The Washington Post has described her playing as "exquisite" and "mesmerizing," and in another recent review the Post said " ... flutist Karen Johnson wrought unforgettable magic." She has performed throughout the United States and Mexico with the Takacs String Quartet, the Bach Aria Group, and also with popular artist, Stevie Wonder.

Bryan Bourne retired from “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band after nearly 30 years of active service. He was the Marine Band’s Principal Trombonist for the last 23 years, Solo Trombonist with the White House Orchestra, and on many of the Chamber Music Concerts. Bryan also performed in many of the PBS specials “Music at the White House,” which features many of the country’s finest artists from many different musical genres.

Mariko Hiller, a native of Japan, began studying piano at the age of five. Immigrating to the U.S., she continued her piano studies with distinguished pianists/teachers, Nicholas Zumbro (University of Arizona) and Peter Takács (Oberlin Conservatory of Music). She has been an active chamber musician in the Metropolitan Washington area for over 30 years.
