Brighter Days by Sakana Walls
Join us for our first exhibition of 2025, featuring the transformative work of Sakana Walls.
At 53, Sakana’s journey has been one of resilience and rebirth. Raised in Philadelphia, he first expressed love through cooking, but during 18½ years of incarceration, he discovered a new purpose: art. What began as pencil drawings for his children became a lifeline, a “love language” that brought connection, healing, and hope.
Now a father, veteran, and nearly 20 years clean, Sakana’s art speaks to the power of redemption and the human spirit. Don’t miss this extraordinary exhibition.
Presented by Grace United Methodist Church.
