Satire - Witty, Wacky & Wise - Poetry in the Mansion
In Hamlet, the long-winded Polonius says, “Brevity is the soul of wit.” Was Shakespeare satirizing not only the old man but also the Bard’s own five-act, four-hour plays? Rockwood’s Poet in Residence, David P. Kozinski, will read and talk a bit about some great satirical poems by John Dryden, Dorothy Parker, and Simon Armitage, among others, as well as a few of his own – for about an hour.
