Joshua Cripps will speak on " The Magic of Visual Contrasts "
Visual Contrasts have the power to make or break your photographs. By learning what they are and how to utilize them in your photography, you will be able to make your subject matter pop, add depth and dimension to your photos, direct your viewers' attention, and translate your emotions into powerful images. In this presentation, Joshua Cripps will lead you through the three kinds of visual contrasts and give you some of his favorite techniques for utilizing them in your photos.
Bios:
Joshua Cripps is a landscape photographer who has received more than 100 international awards and distinctions for his breathtaking images of our planet’s wild places. His photos have been published by National Geographic, NASA, The Sun, Outdoor Photographer, Popular Photography, CNN, Nikon, and many more. Growing up in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, Joshua has been exploring the Range of Light his entire life. Since 2015, he has made his home in the Eastern Sierra, one of the most spectacular and photogenic mountain landscapes in the world. A lifelong Nikon photographer, Joshua has photographed numerous projects for the legendary camera company, including the worldwide marketing campaigns for the Nikon D750 camera and the Nikon AF-S 8-15 mm Fisheye Lens.
Joshua is also one of today’s most sought-after photography educators. He leads photo tours and workshops around the world, and is regularly invited to speak at conferences across the US and Europe.
