Two Lights for Tomorrow
Join Delaware 250 in marking the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's famous ride with Two Lights for Tomorrow, a nationwide initiative of community and service! Using the imagery of two shining lights as a uniting call for citizens to serve in their communities, this initiative encourages participation from every state and community across the country.
Overnight on Friday, 4/18, two lights will shine from statehouses across the U.S., including Legislative Hall in Dover, as well as from homes, businesses, and cultural centers. On Saturday, 4/19, communities across the country will participate in a national day of service.
This is an event in which everyone can participate, including individuals, families, businesses, and historical and cultural organizations. Delaware 250 encourages the participation of all Delawareans by committing to place two lights in their windows on Friday, April 18. The following day, Saturday, April 19, join in a day of service and recommit to being a light in your own community. Delaware 250 is proud to partner with Delaware State Parks on community service opportunities.
