Monoprints and Mimosas: The Art of Clay Printing
Learn how to make one of a kind monoprints and enjoy the company of others as we sip mimosas, taste some cheeses and get our creative juices flowing. In this 3 hour workshop you will learn how to mix up colored slip (wet clay), layer it on a flat slab of clay, use pastels, permanent pigments, stencils and texture tools to create a multilayered composition. When you are ready to make a print, you will practice rolling the print so that what is on your slab transfers to the material we print on. No experience necessary. Just a willingness to leave your inner critic at the door and be open to experimentation. You will leave with a couple of your own original prints. With instructor Robin Sesan.
