Beginner Knitting or Crochet Class with Leslie Friedman at Bellefonte Arts
Have you ever wanted to learn the basic stitches for crochet or knitting?
Local artist Leslie Friedman teaches 2 hour small 4 people max classes on both topics at Bellefonte Arts. She recommends picking either crochet or knitting and sticking with that one technique until you've mastered it, as it does take practice.
In each beginner class you are provided with a hook for crochet, or a pair of needles for knitting, along with a skein of acrylic yarn.
Beginner Knitting class: May 20th, 6-8
Students will learn how to put stitches on needles (cast on) and go on to the knit stitch. After learning the knit stitch, students will leave with the knowledge and materials to work on a scarf on their own.
Beginner Crochet class (2 Dates to pick from): May 12th (6-8pm) or May 24th (2-4pm)
Students will learn how to do the chain stitch and go on to the single crochet stitch. After learning the single crochet, students will leave with the knowledge and materials to work on a scarf on their own.
