Description: Get ready to bring your pottery to life! In this course, students will learn the basics of wheel throwing while designing and building a character-inspired vase that’s totally their own. We’ll explore how to throw pottery on the wheel, then dive into character design by adding sculptural, hand-built elements such as faces, features, and handles. Students will gain skills in forming, attaching, sculpting, and decorative glazing, all while connecting technique to visual storytelling. By the end of class, you’ll have a whimsical two-part vase that shows off your personality and creativity! Perfect for imaginative makers ready to push their pottery to the next level.
